Custom Prints Info

After years of requests, we have decided to open up a limited number of slots each month for custom prints. At this time we're only taking commissions for pets, mainly because they make us happy. All pets are welcome, dog, cat, rabbit, bird, fish, flying squirrel, you name it. If it’s a beloved pet, we’re excited to honor them with a custom portrait.

All custom prints are currently $200, requiring $100 to get started and $100 upon completion. This price is for 1 pet in 1 portrait. If you would like more than 1 pet please email us.

All prints are archival quality giclee prints available in 4 sizes:

Commissions are taken on a first reserved (paid) / first serve method.
Please review the following information on how to reserve an original portrait:

1. Email us at hello@midgoods.com with the Portrait Specifications below, Subject line: Custom Portrait

2. Once received, we'll reply with any additional questions & create a reserved spot for you on our Custom Prints page. Once you pay to reserve your print we'll get started.

3. We'll email you with progress and any questions along the way for feedback

4. We'll email you a thumbnail of the final piece. Once accepted and the second half is paid, we'll ship your final piece.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Timeline
Commissions take about a month to be made & shipped out. If you need a rush order, let us know your timeline and we will see if we can make it happen.

Materials
Just like most of our work, our portraits are digitally drawn and printed using archival inks and paper. Working digitally allows us to edit quickly and create different versions when needed, to make sure you get the colors you're looking for.

Backgrounds
All portraits are created with abstract or floral backgrounds. Please let us know if you have a specific color or flora you would like to see. We have a palette we tend to stay within in our work and we choose colors from this palette to coordinate with your pet.

Rights
You will own the original piece but we reserve the right to use the artwork for promotional purposes, like on our website. We will never create prints of your artwork to sell to anyone else.

Refunds

We know you will love your portrait but if you are not satisfied you will not be required to pay the second payment (this means you will also not receive the final print). While the first half deposit is our guarantee that you are ready to start the project, it also acts as a kill fee in the result of you not wanting the final print and still pays us a portion for our time.
