Inspired by one of my favorite meditations from Gabrielle Bernstein in The Universe Has Your Back, she says to imagine a small golden basket, illuminated from the inside out, that you gently place the area of your life you've been controlling into. Offer it up and surrender it. Then imagine an angel coming behind you, assuring you it's ok to let go of your need to control. The angel picks up the basket and flies away. It's every bit of three minutes to breathe and change your perspective and since I heard it from the audiobook it stuck with me so much that I had to illustrate a reminder.
